CoroCoro has revealed the full title of the sixteenth movie to be Extreme Speed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening (神速のゲノセクト ミュウツー覚醒). Mewtwo will appear as a key character.

It is not currently known if this is the same Mewtwo that Ash and his friends encountered in Mewtwo Strikes Back and Mewtwo Returns.
