2016 International Challenge - January Wi-Fi tournament announced

The first International Challenge Wi-Fi tournament for 2016 has been announced for January. Participants who record one win or loss in three battles will receive 2,000 Poké Miles. Players may register between midnight UTC on Jan. 21 and 11:59 p.m. UTC on Jan. 28. The competition will run from midnight UTC on Jan. 29 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on Jan. 31. The rankings will be announced some time in February.
Players born in 2001 or later will be in the Junior/Senior Division. Players born in or before 2000 will be in the Master Division. Junior Division players will only be able to battle between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. local time. There will be 50,000 spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Players can only participate with the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games. This tournament will use the official VGC 2016 rules that were announced in December.
Mythical Pokémon may not be used in this tournament. Players may only have a maximum of two of the following legendary Pokémon: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde. Soul Dew may not be used in this tournament. Any Pokémon brought over from the Generation V games cannot be used. Pokémon above level 50 will be automatically set to level 50.
Each battle will have a maximum time limit of 15 minutes. Players will have 90 seconds to choose which four Pokémon they will battle with and 45 seconds to decide which move to use or switch. Players may battle 15 times per day for a maximum of 45.
