The {{bp|Secret Key}}, which unlocks the {{game|Platinum}} alternate versions of {{p|Rotom}} is to be made available in Australia through Toys 'R' Us and Target stores from the 25th of June until the 5th of July. It is unknown how the key will be distributed, however, past Nintendo events in these stores have utilised the Mystery Gift function of the games.

The Secret Key allows Rotom to change between its six forms in Platinum. It learns a new move upon switching forms, but its type remains the same.
