A whopping 15 new cards from the upcoming XY Beginning Set and XY Beginning Set for Girls have been revealed. These cards include the three starters Chespin, Froakie, Fennekin, each of their evolutions, Miltank, Snorlax Bidoof, Furfrou in both its Normal and Pink Styles, and Skitty: all Pokémon featured early in the Kalos Region. The XY Beginning Set will be available Nov. 8, 2013. The cards will be distributed into three half decks. Each of the two sets will contain damage counters, a coin, a play mat, as well as how to play DVDs and manuals. Deluxe (DX) versions of each set will be released a week later on November 15, 2013. The DX versions contain the same contents as their regular counterparts in addition to a themed deck case, card sleeves, sticker sheet, notebook, and are presented in a metal case, but no additional cards.
The three starter cards have already been released in the English Chespin Box, Fennekin Box, and Froakie Box. The two Furfrou cards have the same attacks, and only differ in their artwork. The Boys' Set features the three final evolutions as Holofoils, while the Girls' Set features the three Basic starters as Holofoils. Snorlax, Normal Furfrou, and Bidoof are exclusive to the Boys' release; Miltank, Pink Furfrou, and Skitty are exclusive to the Girls'.
