Pokémon Platinum, the third version of Diamond and Pearl, has been announced for a North American release — March 22.
The release date was leaked by Circuit City. Several names have been revealed for new characters and locations in the game.
The character of Pluto, Team Galactic's resident scientist, has been renamed as Charon, likely to avoid conflict with Disney much in the same way Team Galactic itself was renamed from the more literal Team Galaxy.
The Ruined World will now apparently go by the moniker of Distortion World, fitting to the strange physics of the alternate world.
In addition, the Circuit City page names the fan-named dragon trio as the legendary titans, fitting to the great powers of Dialga, Palkia and Giratina.
The names of Sinnoh's Frontier Brains have not been revealed as of yet.
